Quality of Indonesian Education

Education is an important aspect in life. In education we can change the person who is not smart to be someone who is clever. And with education also is we can develop our nation and this country. Before discussing further, we'd better find out what's education?

Education is a process that is conscious or intentional in order to increase knowledge, insight and experience to determine the purpose of life so they can have a broad vision towards the future for better and with education itself can create high quality people. Education is also an effort to develop fast and accurate intelligence in order to digest all the symptoms.

The aim of education is to create a quality person and character that has a wide view of the future to achieve a goal that is expected and able to adapt quickly and appropriately in various environments. Since education itself to motivate ourselves to be better in all aspects of life. Because without education itself we'll colonized by the lack of progress today, because more and more strict in the competition and also the longer it is also the quality of education will be more advanced as well. So now education should be utilized as possible in order not to miss by the other. Education is one of the requirements to further promote this pemrintah, then try the level of education ranging from elementary to university level education.

From the above, which is a vital function in determining the quality of education is learning. Learning is dimaa interaction between educators and learners, which in teaching and learning is a process of exchange of information until there is a process whereby a previously unknown information by learners to become known.

The next question is, what about the quality of education in Indonesia? According to most polls, the quality of education in Indonesia is still low. Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Boediono admitted concern with the low quality of education in Indonesia. Thus, the national exam required as a measurement or diagnostics to improve the quality of education in Indonesia (Metro TV news). Statement of the Vice President is apparently directly proportional to the reality. In the year 2010 from the 1,522,162 participants unas high school level, only 89.88% that could otherwise pass. The percentage is down from previous years (2009-ed) a graduation rate reached 93.4%. While for the West Kalimantan alone, the rate of graduation in the year 2010 is 87.53%, up from last year that only 82%. Hopefully will continue to increase for future years and will memejukan WK education quality in particular and Indonesia of course. Salam education!
